Once you’ve tasted the cosmopolitan life, consider an alternative excursion, planning a day’s trip to Delos, a small neighboring island which is an open archaeological site of great importance. According to mythology, Delos is the island where god Apollo and his twin sister Artemis were born, and for this, it was forbidden to be born, or die, on this land. Delos is considered by many a sacred island, bestowed with the divine Apollonian light, and the awe-inspiring ancient ruins scattered all over, are reminiscent of a very active social life on this tiny ever-sunlit island.
